deLaveaga Trail, February 1, 2011

  • Location: East Bay Mud North Watershed
  • Route: Take the De La Veaga Trail from the staging area to the Skyline trail intersection, and return. 
  • Mileage: 2.9 miles each direction, steep climb up. 
  • Difficulty Level: Strenuous
  • Description: Powerful climb 2.9 miles to the Skyline Trail, where you can continue on, or turn around for a refreshing and effective workout. You'll be rewarded with views, scenes of raptors, wild turkeys, and solitude.

  • Trailhead and Parking: Small parking area at the end of Camino Pablo, in Orinda, just before the on ramp to Highway 24. There is a gate and sign in sheet. Permit Required.
